AEC Annual Congress 2010
The AEC Annual Congress 2010 took place at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, the largest academic centre in the country with a dramatic history that nevertheless brought surprising architectural renovation and urban requalification. Thanks to its many prestigious educational institutions and a broad range of employment opportunities, Warsaw is a young, dynamic city worth exploring. The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, host institution of the AEC Annual Congress 2010, is among the largest schools of music in Poland as well as one of the oldest in Europe. The Warsaw School is proud of its patron and celebrates the 200th anniversary of the patron’s birth and the date of its foundation. The University celebrates this double occasion with a special concert programmes and a series of scientific and artistic events, one of which is the 2010 AEC Congress. During the Thematic Day the topic of sustainable conservatoire was addressed. The presentations on the topic were followed by breakout group discussions. Information about the results of the second 3-year cycle of the ERASMUS Network for Music ‘Polifonia’ were also presented.
