Musical Celebration of 20 Years ERASMUS and the Lifelong Learning programme Launch

This project proposes several dissemination and exploitation activities with the aim to increase the participation of higher music education in European programmes, and to draw attention of a wider audience to the ERASMUS and Lifelong Learning Programmes through musical performances of ERASMUS music students. The project consortium, headed by the European Associations of Conservatoires (AEC), will:

• Identify and analyse the needs of higher music education institutions and successful past music projects in the framework of the SOCRATES programme. This will result in a number of practical documents and recommendations on how to improve the current situation, in which student and staff mobility figures seem to be in decline and the participation of higher music education institutions in certain countries remains limited. These practical documents and recommendations will be widely disseminated and result in a greater exploitation of the possibilities offered by the Lifelong Learning Programme.
• Present, discuss and receive feedback on the analysis and recommendations during a meeting for international relations coordinators in music in Oslo, September 2007.
• Stage in Oslo and Brussels a unique high quality musical celebration of the 20th Anniversary of ERASMUS and the launch of the Lifelong Learning Programme with former ERASMUS music students.

Ce projet propose plusieurs activités d’exploration et de diffusion dans l’objectif d’accroître la place de l’éducation musicale au sein des programmes européens. Il s’agit aussi d’attirer l’attention d’une plus large audience sur les Programmes ERASMUS et Formation tout long de la vie, à travers des performances musicales d’étudiants ERASMUS en musique. Le consortium du projet, dirigé par l’Association Européenne des Conservatoires (AEC), sera le suivant :

• Identifier et analyser les besoins des institutions d’éducation musicale supérieure et les projets réussis dans le cadre du programme SOCRATES. Ceci permettra de produire un nombre important de documents pratiques et de recommandations pour améliorer la situation présente, dans laquelle étudiants et personnels d’organisation des échanges semblent être en diminution ; la participation, dans certains pays, des institutions d’éducation musicale supérieure reste également limitée. Ces documents pratiques et recommandations seront largement diffusés et permettront une plus grande exploitation des possibilités offertes par le Programme Formation tout au long de la vie.
• Présenter, discuter, et analyser les réactions de l’analyse des recommandations pendant la réunion pour les coordinateurs de relations internationales en musique, à Oslo, en septembre 2007.
• Organiser à Oslo et à Bruxelles une célébration musicale unique et de grande qualité pour fêter le 20ème anniversaire d’ERASMUS et le lancement du Programme Formation tout au long de la vie avec d’anciens étudiants ERASMUS en musique.

Dieses Projekt schlägt verschiedene Verbreitungs- und Verwertungsaktivitäten vor, alle mit dem Ziel, die Beteiligung der höherer Musikausbildung an europäischen Programmen zu erhöhen und die Aufmerksamkeit eines weiteren Publikums durch die musikalische Darbietung von ERASMUS Musikstudenten auf ERASMUS und die Programme für lebenslanges Lernen zu lenken. Die Projektgemeinschaft, geleitet vom Europäischen Musikhochschulverband (AEC), wird:

• die Bedürfnisse der Institutionen für höhere Musikausbildung und erfolgreich abgeschlossene Musikprojekte im Rahmen des SOCRATES Programms identifizieren und analysieren. Dies wird zur Erstellung einiger praktischer Dokumente und Empfehlungen zur Verbesserung der derzeitigen Situation führen, in der es scheint als würde die Mobilität von Studierenden und Lehrern zurückgehen und die Beteiligung von Institutionen der höheren Musikausbildung in bestimmten Ländern begrenzt bleiben. Diese praktischen Dokumente und Empfehlungen werden weit verbreitet werden und eine bessere Verwertung der Möglichkeiten, die die Programme zum lebenslangen Lernen bieten, zur Folge haben.
• auf einer Tagung für Beauftragte für internationale Beziehungen in der Musik in Oslo im September 2007 die Analysen und Empfehlungen vorstellen, diskutieren und dazu Rückmeldungen bekommen.
• in Oslo und Brüssel eine einzigartige, hochqualitative, musikalische Feier mit ehemaligen ERASMUS Musikstudenten zum zwanzigjährigen Jubiläum von ERASMUS und dem Start des Programms für lebenslanges Lernen veranstalten.
